In 1941 the first Coach was crafted and became a legend with the first Coach bag designer Bonnie Cashin in 1962 whose inspiration came from a paper shopping bag. The difference between a regular purse and a Coach is the leather and reinforced stitching where ordinary bags fall apart. The soft deep leather texture of a Coach was originally inspired by a baseball glove because of its durability, softness and ease of cleaning. Since then Coach has continued to rule the accessory world with its time honored traditional craftsmanship that will continue to be a legacy.
